How To Find Us
Harpur Square & St Paul’s Square are located in the town centre of Bedford. The Bedford Italian Festival is proud to welcome visitors from all over the UK and therefore wish to make it as easy for you to plan your visit as possible.
BY ROAD
From the north, leave the M1 at junction 14. Take the A422, following signs for Bedford.
From the south leave the M1 at junction 13, then follow the A421 to Bedford.
From the A1, south of St Neots, take the A428 to Bedford, Bedford campus is next to the A428 on the eastern side of Bedford.
Parking close to the event is available at River Street Multi Storey, Riverside Square and Lurke Street – please check closing hours although we are trying to negotiate longer opening hours. (ADD LINK TO ATTACHED CAR PARKS MAP)
Bedford Park & Ride Scheme with hourly service
Driving into Bedford? Park & Ride makes a lot of sense - easy to use, easy on your pocket and easy on the environment.
Just park in the spacious car park at Elstow and the easy-access buses will whizz you quickly into the town centre - hourly on Sundays. There’s CCTV on site and a waiting room with toilets.

BY RAIL
Bedford Train Station is centrally located and therefore only a 10 minute walk into the town centre past St Francesca Cabrini Italian Church – ideal if you are hoping to attend morning Mass and join in the Procession to the Town Centre.
There are frequent trains, operated by First Capital Connect from London St Pancras International station - journey time about 50 minutes.
East Midlands Trains run from London St Pancras station - journey time about 40 minutes.
There are also direct trains from Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield. Services to the West Midlands, Lancashire, and Scotland are via Milton Keynes.
